Currency widgets for your home screen
Check a rate at a glance, or type an amount on the large widget’s number pad and watch it convert on the home screen. No app launch needed.

How to add the Calcurate currency widget on iPhone
Open Calcurate once
The widget gets its layout and rates from the app, so open it once after installing.
Add the widget
Touch and hold an empty area of the home screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit then Add Widget (or + on older iOS versions), search for Calcurate and choose the Currency widget in Small, Medium or Large.
Choose your currencies
Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and set Convert from and Convert to.
Convert on the home screen
On the Large widget, tap the number pad. The converted result updates with each key. ⇄ swaps the pair and Clear empties the field.
Widget sizes

| Small | The exchange rate both ways, for example 1 THB = S$0.03969 and 1 SGD = ฿25.19. |
| Medium (iOS) / wide (Android) | The rate plus three round amounts converted, such as ฿100 → S$3.97. |
| Large | An amount field over a number pad. Each key press updates the converted result on the home screen. ⇄ swaps the pair, Clear empties the field. |

iPhone and iPad
One widget called Currency, available in Small, Medium and Large. Long-press it and choose Edit Widget to set Convert from and Convert to. The Large widget’s number pad needs iOS 17 or later. Android
Two widgets: Exchange Rate (2×2) and Quick Convert (4×4 with a number pad). Both switch layout if you resize them. A currency picker appears when you add a widget and in its settings later. Android widgets refresh hourly in the background from the app’s cached rates. Guide: currency widgets on Android.
Tap through to the app
Tapping the rate or the amount field opens Calcurate on a convert sheet with the keyboard already up. An amount typed there also shows on the large widget.

Home screen widgets: common questions
Does the Calcurate widget work without opening the app?
Yes. The large widget has its own number pad, and each key press updates the converted amount right on the home screen. Rates come from the app, so open it occasionally to keep them fresh on iOS.
Which iOS version do I need for the widget number pad?
The interactive number pad on the Large widget needs iOS 17 or later. Small and Medium widgets show rates and conversions.
Can I choose which currencies the widget shows?
Yes. On iPhone, long-press the widget and tap Edit Widget. On Android, a currency picker appears when you add the widget and in its settings.
