Short description
Calcurate is a multi-currency calculator for iPhone, iPad and Android that lets you add amounts in different currencies in one sum, with live exchange rates and a keypad that sounds and feels like a mechanical keyboard.
Long description
Calcurate turns currencies into part of the maths. Type an amount, tap its currency key, and keep going in any of 15 currencies. Press equals and every amount is converted to your chosen base currency at live mid-market rates, with a breakdown line showing each conversion. Rates come from ExchangeRate-API with a European Central Bank fallback, and the display shows the rate source and publish date. With no connection it keeps calculating and marks offline rates clearly.
The interface is modelled on a mechanical keyboard: real switch recordings, keys that fire on the way down, haptics, and a Keycap Studio where holding any key for three seconds pulls its cap so you can swap between six keycap sets. The display can glow like a vacuum-fluorescent tube, warm amber phosphor or a classic LCD. Home screen widgets on iOS and Android show rates and, on the large size, convert amounts with a built-in number pad.
